About

Reading belongs to the reader.

Newsletters are some of the best writing on the internet, and most of it arrives in the worst place to read it: an inbox, between receipts, work mail and promotions. Good issues get skimmed or archived unread, and the pile starts to feel like guilt.

Digest gives the newsletters you subscribe to a quiet place of their own, next to the writers and sites you follow. You decide what’s in your paper.

What we believe

  • You choose. Everything in Digest is there because you added it. Nothing is ranked or recommended, and there are no ads.
  • Reading is a ritual. No streaks and no urgency. Read it when you’re ready.
  • Help comes first. Our guides are useful whether or not you use Digest, and they only describe features that work today.

Who makes Digest

Digest is made by Gabriel Santiago, who also writes the guides on this site. Every reply to [email protected] is read by a person.

The beta

Digest is in a free beta, opening in small batches. The web app runs in desktop and laptop browsers, and the iPhone app is in TestFlight. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you when there’s room for you.
